The project entails moving 95,000 cubic yards of dirt, installing nearly four miles of
underground utilities and paving over six acres of parking including a new bus lot.
Loveland Excavating started its work in April, 2009 and expects to be complete by April,
2010. Loveland will be performing all phases of site work including underground utilities,
earthwork, demolition, clearing, erosion control and asphalt paving.
Utilizing global positioning equipment, Loveland was able to effectively put the site to
grade and bring the building pad subgrade elevation in less than two weeks. The fast
track pace enabled our customer to begin construction of the building 30 days before
schedule. Bill Faris, Superintendant for the project said the following; “Loveland
Excavating has done a great job of keeping the project on track. We have had a rainy
year so far but they are professional and have enabled the project to stay on schedule”.
This multi-million dollar project is one of Loveland’s largest projects for 2009.
Loveland CEO Matt Brennan summed things up best; “We are proud of our employees
and the work they perform. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with Ferguson
Construction and deliver a new school for the people of the Miamisburg School District.
We realize that we are not just building a school, but a future community asset that will
endure in the future”.
